What steps should be taken before the procedure?

Avoid direct, excessive sun exposure or tanning one month prior to treatment. Its best to carry out this treatment in the fall and winter season.

What should I expect during my IPL treatments?

During treatment, you and the medical esthetician or doctor will wear protective eyewear.   • It is recommended to stop any products containing Retinol 1 week prior to treatment and can resume 1 week after.
  • Topical retinoid therapy should be discontinued 2-4 days prior
  • Avoid any prolonged exposure to the sun, if you must be in the sun use a zinc oxide sunscreen of at least SPF 30
  • Avoid taking anticoagulants (aspirin, mobic, ibuprofen, naproxen) for one week if medical condition allows
  • Stop Acutane 6 months prior
  • Facials, Lasers, Botox and Dermal Filler treatments cannot be done for 1 week before or 1 week after FORMA treatments
